What does your company do?
Usermind provides the first unified platform for orchestrating the customer journey. With Usermind, companies can define and automate customer interactions to improve revenue, retention, and profitability. Built for non-developers, Usermind makes it simple to integrate enterprise applications, map data between them, automate end-to-end processes, measure their impact, and take instant action to improve business outcomes. With this infrastructure in place, enterprises can experiment and execute on customer experience with the agility of a startup.
Why did you create this video?
We launched our platform for customer journey orchestration.
What were your most important goals?
We wanted to convey our product features at a high level, and show how we help solve problems faced by nearly every enterprise business.
Why did you choose this style of video?
We wanted an approachable, interesting style of animation that could still communicate a fairly complex product offering.
Did you consider other video styles?
No — we knew that we wanted a fun, approachable animated representation of our product.
What factors did you consider when choosing your video professional?
We looked for a creator that had produced polished explainer videos for other software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies. Working within a startup’s budget, we wanted an enterprise-quality animated video.
What was the easiest part of the production process?
The team at Piehole was very communicative, and their project management system kept things on track, with clear next steps.
And the hardest?
Sometimes it’s hard to convey complex ideas when working collaboratively, but remotely. Their team was on hand to communicate at off-hours in their time zone, though! After going through this process, we probably would have come in with a more crystallized idea of script and storyboard to save time on the back-and-forth, but overall, we were satisfied with the process.
How have you used your video?
We use our video as a quick, high-level explanation of the “what” and “why” of our product on our homepage.
Do you consider it a success?
Yes – we’ve had excellent viewership and engagement from our key accounts on this video.
How do you measure your video’s impact?
We host our video with Wistia, which provides stats for viewership and engagement. We have great metrics for both and are reaching our target audience.
Are you planning on making additional videos?
It is likely we’ll create more videos as we expand our product offering.
