In the past years we’ve narrowed our list of favorite projects down to a top 10, however, this year there were just too many projects to choose from (check out 2015’s and 2012’s)!

Without further ado, here are our top 12 marketing videos produced on Video Brewery in 2016. Our favorite animations are listed first, followed by some amazing live action pieces that we got to work on!

We hope that you find inspiration for your own video project!

1. Animal Charity Evaluators
B2C
Animation

We really enjoy working on the wide range of companies that need videos, however non-profits really give us the warm fuzzies. The simple design Lucas created for this video allows the message to stand out. In addition, the sound design does an excellent job of highlighting specific script moments!

2. Local Wine Events
B2C
Animation

This character-based explainer video really packs a lot of material in just over 1 minute. It’s easy to understand and gives a great overview of Local Wine Events!

3. Vitrium
B2B
Animation

The point of a screencast is to show a potential user exactly what a piece of software has to offer a user. This video does just that, staying consistent with Vitrium’s brand identity. And for a nearly 2-minute long video on content security, it’s pretty darn engaging!

4. Trusted Site
B2C
Animation

Online security was a big subject this year for videos, apparently. This is an interesting video as it highlights just an addition to McAfee’s suite of protection services. For a quick video, this clearly outlines how McAfee protects users and also influences them to purchase from specific websites.

5. SimplyFun Gameraising
B2B/B2C
Animation

We’ve written about the videos we helped SimplyFun produce this year already, but we’re giving them another shout-out! These short, targeted videos clearly outline how SimplyFun’s program works. And there’s a catchy background track.

6. MediaOmniVu
B2B
Animation (3D)

Who isn’t trying to figure out the magic combination of marketing spends to accelerate sales? This video tackles a real-world modern business problem, with a modern 3D animation. The flow of the video reminds us of a whiteboard animation, however this is definitely the modern version!

Creative: Luke Letellier

7. Black Gold Emergency Planners
B2B
Animation

There’s a tendency to make very dry, boilerplate business videos. That is not the case for this video! Black Gold uses a hypothetical zombie attack to show how their product can help any business manage an emergency.

Creative: Priscilla with Piehole

8. GetSet Project Demo
B2B
Animation

This video was playing at a tradeshow, so it needed to be a story that could be told without a voiceover. It’s a pretty clean video, with simple animations, but without voiceover it gives clients another style to choose from. The product itself is fun to work with as it strives to help struggling students find success by using a growth mindset.

9. Sentegrity
B2B
Live Action (Stock)

Another data security video! Piehole has a wide-range of skills, one of their most impressive is crafting live action explainers using stock footage. Not every script can work with stock footage, but this one definitely does and it comes together in a slick video that will stand out for years to come.

10. Fight For a Cure
B2C
Live Action

This project was very different from the usual project Video Brewery works on. We shouldn’t have worried, the final video really blew us away in a big way. This inspirational documentary short is beautifully shot and tells an amazing story in under 4 minutes.

11. Tonic Health
B2B
Live Action

The client came to us asking for a pretty boring format- man on the street user testimonials- but wanted it to be quirky, fun, and different. So the team at Shmideo went to work and came up with this creative way to tell a story!

12. MevoLife
B2C
Live Action

Mevolife wanted us to create an inspirational piece to motivate their prospective users. Their limited budget challenged Ross and his team to design a cost effective shoot to get that large budget montage feel at a fraction of the cost.
